Our client, a recently established deal advisory firm, wanted to pipeline a more diverse talent pool outside the traditional competitor landscape. Arete Talent was tasked to research and identify alternative talent pools at the Director and Managing Director levels with a focus on gender-, neuro- and intellectual diversity.
Building on our experience having worked with our client over many years, combined with our extensive network of relationships amongst consulting leaders across the UK and Europe, Arete was able to quickly establish both a compelling narrative to take to market and a very clear picture of the appropriate accessible talent market. In partnership with our client, we were able to design and successfully implement a challenging project, in a compressed time frame, managing the complexities of multinational stakeholders, and the constraints of the Covid pandemic.
Using our > 30 years + of experience in advisory we worked with our client to design innovative growth ideas including expanding service offerings with more known diversity and global expansion. Using data and insights from our extensive network, Arete Talent proposed a strategy to target individuals outside traditional advisory, identifying relevant candidates with the required technical skills in a variety of corporate functions.
Our list of 400+ candidates was 40% more gender diverse than the existing competitor talent pool and we were able to advise on sectors to focus on and a shortlist of accessible targets. The research was also used as a business development tool for existing consultants.
